Caring for My Teeth

Toothbrushing

Place toothbrush at 45 degree angle where gums        1213
and teeth meet. Use small circular motions to
gently brush the gum line and teeth. Do not apply
too much pressure to the teeth , as this can damage
the root surface and the gums. Brush all surface
of the tooth,check-side, tongue-side, and chewing surfaces. Brush the inside of the front teeth in an up and down motion. Brush your teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.Use a soft-bristled toothbrush in a size that fits your mouth comfortably. Replace your toothbrush  when the bristles show signs of wear, usually after about three months.

Flossing

Cut a piece of floss about 18 inches long and wind around one         1214
of the middle fingers and the remaining floss around finger on
opposite hand. Hold floss tightly between thumb and forefinger.
Guide floss between the teeth using the floss to scrape the sides
of the teeth in a gentle rubbing motion. Repeat this  method
between all the teeth. Unwind the floss as you move from tooth
to tooth using new floss as you go. Don’t forget  the  back side
of the last tooth. A Tip to keep the teeth free of stain between
the teeth is to brush first and leave the toothpaste on your teeth
when you floss. the floss carries the toothpaste between the teeth
and polishes them clean.
